The Realme C1 was just announced and it promises outstanding value for the price. It even has rear dual-camera setup and a selfie camera with AI face beauty technology. |

The rear camera sports a 13MP f/2.2 and 2MP f/2.4 dual lens set up with both supporting autofocus and with LED flash while the selfie camera is a 5MP f/2.2 with AI Beauty 2.0 technology. |

The camera app features the following modes: photo, portrait, video, time-lapse, sticker and pano but only the main camera has a 2x zoom.
The flash can be turned on auto, forced on, auto and fill light. The beauty mode has 6 levels of beautification for the main camera. The selfie camera's beauty mode adds AI beauty that allows the AI to decide the level of beautification is needed.
There is no indication that either cameras have EIS or OIS.
My biggest gripe out of the box is the camera settings is inside system apps inside the settings app. It is deep in the menus with very few features.
Anyway, here are some of our first few shots. Please have a look!

Quick thoughts
Out of the box, the main cameras can take relatively good daylight and indoor images with decent sharpness and color reproduction.
In low light it can be a mixed bag depending on how much noise reduction is needed.
On the other hand, the selfie camera takes decently sharp images in daylight and in indoors but the white balance tends to skew on the cooler side. The low light images on the other hand soften because of the noise reduction and there is a noticeable color cast.
Otherwise the rear and selfie cameras perform really well considering the price. We hope the white balance and color cast issue would be fixed on the final build of the software for the retail unit.
We will reserve our final judgement in our full review.
